Popular restaurant chain Shake Shack has announced that it will open 10 new outlets in collaboration with PENN Entertainment. These 10 outlets will be located within various casino premises and show shakes deepening connection with the world of gambling.

Gambling as a concept has seen quite the evolution in the last few years, especially thanks to the rise of the internet. No longer are consumers restricted to just the physical or even online casinos in their specific geographic location. As Ricky Davies explains, secure offshore play has opened the door for more opportunities and features for consumers.

Now, visitors of PENN Entertainment’s casinos can also grab a bite from one of the most beloved fast food chains in America. As per the official press release, the first Shake Shacks should launch at Hollywood Casino Toledo, Ohio. Another would be at River City Casino and Hotel in St. Louis next year.

This will be subject to regulatory approvals, but it represents an effort on both companies’ parts to expand. Shake Shack has announced that it’s looking to open between 35 and 40 new locations this year, and it is fast expanding its presence even beyond the shores of the United States. It is also taking its burgers to the sky as its food can be pre-selected on qualifying domestic flights from Boston-Logan International Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, New York-LaGuardia and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Soon, first-class passengers on specific Airlines will be able to order their food in-flight.

PENN Entertainment, on its part, has said that this partnership will help to elevate the gambling experience for its customers.

“This partnership marks another exciting development as we continue to reimagine our properties with refreshed dining and entertainment options. Shake Shack is a well-known brand that resonates with customers, and we look forward to welcoming them to a core segment of our property portfolio,” said Todd George, Executive Vice President, Operations, PENN Entertainment.

Recent earnings reports show that Shake Shack’s revenue is up 10%, and its products are sold in over 265 locations around the world. These indicate that there is a strong demand for Shake Shack and thus, the casino-loving public should take to it well. casinos have always been a hope for not just the games themselves but also food and drink.

This isn’t Shake Shack’s first time opening locations in casinos as it currently serves at Encore Casino in Everett, Massachusetts, MGM National Harbour in Oxon Hill, Maryland and NYN Hotel in Las Vegas.

As modern consumer bases are gambling in different ways, it makes sense to provide them with the sorts of perks that they are already interested in. If this partnership goes well, other fast food chains might take off partnerships with casinos, and consumers will have even more choices.

Only time will tell how quickly these regulatory approvals will come in, how quickly these locations can be established, and what the numbers will look like when all is said and done
