Board of Higher Education appoints Utah native as new UVU president
Utah Valley University's next president has been chosen. The Utah Board of Higher Education voted Friday to appoint Jon Anderson, a Utah native and president of PennWest University, to the position. Anderson's selection finalized a national search conducted by the Presidential Search Committee and the Utah Board of Higher Education to replace Astrid S. Tuminez, who stepped down as president in May. Anderson, who attended Bingham High School and Utah State University, is no stranger to UVU.
