The Skousens, whose father W. Cleon Skousen played a role in the founding of the nonprofit university in Cedar City, were very happy to have the support of Beck and have the chance to meet the radio and television host. "He's been promoting dad's books for so long now and we've wanted to say hello to him for so long and thank him," said Paul Skousen. Beck, who announced on his radio program, "I'm falling in love with this university," was speaking at the gala hosted in the Capitol Rotunda.
