Provo resident Aaliyah Rose recently starred alongside Alex Boye in his video version of "Happy."

This week she will perform on a much bigger stage.

The 11-year-old Lakeview Elementary student will perform today at the Radio Disney Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she will sing "Let it Go" accompanied by musicians from a Los Angeles performing arts high school.

Radio Disney surprised Aaliyah Rose at a BYU baseball game in Provo  with the announcement that she was chosen as one of the event's singers. They awarded her a banner that is now displayed at her family's Provo home.

To see Aaliyah Rose's performance, tune into "Disney Channel Presents The Radio Disney Music Awards," a television special originating from the event, at 6 p.m. Sunday.
