Utah AG issues consumer advisory for 23andMe customers
Following the sale of the direct-to-consumer genetic testing company 23andMe, the Utah Attorney General’s Office is issuing a consumer advisory reminding former customers of ways to protect their genetic data. The sale was approved last month by a bankruptcy judge following several months of controversy and concern that the company, along with its DNA data, would be sold to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
