"Any time we add something to our menu, I’m a little bit careful about it, because I want to make sure we can do it quickly, and can make it taste amazing, and be consistently amazing," Adam Terry said.

After more than 2,500 miles along historic Route 66, it was a heartbreaker for Utah Valley’s Waffle Love in the finale of the “Great Food Truck Race.”
In the first five legs of the Food Network reality show, brothers Adam, Steven and Jared Terry were the dominant team. They won three legs, and never finished lower than second place in any stage of the race.
Sales were through the roof.
The Achilles heel for these waffle warriors was the cooking challenges.
In the finale, going head to head with Pho Nomenal Dumplings, the Terry brothers started behind the eight ball when they had to cook three different kinds of meat in St. Louis.
The final leg of the race came down to selling 50 dishes in three different neighborhoods in Chicago, Illinois.
As the winners of the challenge, Pho was able to get a head start, and only had to sell 20 dishes in the first neighborhood.
A mistake by the dumpling truck in the final neighborhood of Greektown, opened the door for Waffle Love, but it was not meant to be.
”This truly was the experience of a lifetime,” said Adam Terry on the Waffle Love Instagram page. “Meeting so many kind and good people from all over the country was such an amazing experience and something we’ll never forget.”
