Family announces passing of Lehi teen a week after she was hit near rodeo grounds
Jenna Sharp, the 14-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle near the Lehi Rodeo Grounds late last month, has died in the hospital, her parents announced Saturday. Sharp was leaving a multistake youth dance being held at the venue May 30 when police said she was hit by a car traveling south on 500 West at 100 North as she was crossing the street. Sharp was left with a serious brain injury as a result of the crash. She was taken to Primary Children’s Hospital where she was placed in the intensive care unit.
