Here’s a look at Tuesday’s prep baseball action:
Orem 9, Park City 0: The Tigers crushed the Miners at home, taking the victory easily.
The Tigers scored three in the first, two in the third, and knocked out four in the fifth, each run unanswered by Park City. The game ended in six innings.
Lehi 6, Wasatch 3: The Pioneers nabbed a close win over the Wasps, winning at home.
Lehi started the game with one run in the first inning, which Wasatch quickly answered back with, getting a run in the second. Wasatch scored again in the top of the third, and the Pioneers edged out the lead with two more runs.
Both teams scored one more run in the fourth, but Lehi knocked back two more runs to win in the sixth.
North Sevier 12, American Leadership Academy 7: The Eagles fell to the Wolves at home.
North Sevier hit two runs to open the game, while ALA hit one. The Wolves hit three more in the third, while ALA hit back one more.
ALA rallied in the third with three more runs, tying up the game. But North Sevier mustered a rally of its own with seven runs in the fifth inning to ALA’s two.
Daniel Baisch, junior, led the Eagles in runs for the night, with two.
