Spanish Fork police provides further comment on stabbing at homecoming dance

A stabbing incident that injured a 17-year-old boy outside Maple Mountain High School on Saturday was the result of an altercation between two kids at a homecoming dance, according to Spanish Fork police. Spanish Fork Police Lt. Cory Slaymaker said Monday that the homecoming dance was taking place outside the school in the parking lot when two students “ended up bumping into each other” and the altercation occurred. “One of the kids pulled out a knife and stabbed the other kid,” Slaymaker told the Daily Herald.
